UVC Sterilizer Model: 2B
This video shows a demo of the UVC Sterilizer

Description:

  • Length: 135 mm

  • Width: 65 mm

  • Height: 25 mm

  • Operating Voltage: 9V DC

  • Output Power: 2 watts

  • Output ray: Ultraviolet

  • Wave length: 253.7 nm

  • How to Use:

  • Unpack the instrument carefully.

  • Check the power switch. Must be in “off” position.

  • Connect the power cord to any 5A 2pin plug socket

  • Keep all the items ready for sterilize.

  • Hold the Hand held Sterilizer near the items (Gap must be less than 1inch) in such a way that the light ray focuses entirely on the object.

  • Move the Sterilizer slowly towards all the surface areas.

  • Switch off the instrument after use.

  • CAUTION: DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE UV LIGHT WHILE THE DEVICE IS ON. IT CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO EYES.

ALSO KEEP IT AWAY FROM DIRECT SKIN CONTACT.

KEEP IT AWAY FROM CHILDREN. ANY PERSON BELOW 18 YEARS SHOULD NOT OPERATE THIS DEVICE.

    Hand held UV Sterilizer

Hand held UV Sterilizer is designed by Dr. Ramendra Lal Mukherjee, Scientist and Proprietor of HMRC . In the current scenario of worldwide pandemic, it is advised by WHO (World Health Organization) to maintain Healthy Hand Wash and Sanitation Habits, but the main problem is that we can’t sanitize all the items like garments, shoes, mobile phone, notes and coins, pillows etc with substrate based sanitizer material like alcohol based hand sanitizer or liquid soap. Therefore, keeping that in mind, HMRC presents “Hand held UV Sterilizer” this can sterilize all the items in a few seconds. This Instrument is very essential for our daily life.

    Some Technical Information:

    Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation

Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) is a disinfection method that uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (ultraviolet C or UV-C) light to kill or inactivate microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions. UVGI is used in a variety of applications, such as food, air, and water purification.

    Method of operation

UV light is an electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths shorter than visible light but longer than X-rays. UV is categorized into several wavelength ranges, with short-wavelength UV (UV-C) considered "germicidal UV". Wavelengths between about 200 nm and 300 nm are strongly absorbed by nucleic acids. The absorbed energy can result in defects including pyrimidine dimmers. These dimmers can prevent replication or can prevent the expression of necessary proteins, resulting in the death or inactivation of the organism.
